Studio Iya was invited to present its work during an exclusive evening at Soho House Berlin, bringing together creatives, designers, architects, collectors, and members of the city's cultural community.
The event explored the dialogue between contemporary collectible design and traditional craftsmanship. Visitors experienced the collection up close, discovering how natural stone, sculptural form, and artisanal techniques come together to create objects that exist between functional design and art. Through conversation and material exploration, the evening celebrated craftsmanship, creativity, and the meaningful connections that design can inspire.
Prachtsaal studio, July 2025 Berlin
Object 3 – Metal (Jin) Table Lamp was presented as part of a group exhibition at Prachtsaal Studio in Berlin from July to August 2025. The work was also featured during 48 Stunden Neukölln, one of Berlin's leading contemporary art festivals, where it was exhibited alongside works by emerging artists and designers exploring contemporary material practices

An Exhibition by Studio Iya & Albrecht Doering

Metamorphosis brings together the sculptural collectible design of Studio Iya and the abstract paintings of Albrecht Doering in an exhibition exploring transformation as a continuous process rather than a single event.
Working across different disciplines, both artists investigate how change shapes the way we experience material, space, memory, and perception.
Studio Iya approaches transformation through collectible design, creating sculptural objects inspired by the philosophy of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Marble, bronze, onyx, and other natural materials become vessels for exploring adaptation, resilience, and the relationship between humanity and nature.
Albrecht Doering's abstract paintings examine transformation through gesture, colour, rhythm, and layered surfaces. Rather than depicting fixed realities, the works invite viewers into shifting landscapes of emotion and interpretation.
Together, sculpture and painting enter into dialogue. Material meets colour. Form meets movement. Permanence meets intuition.
Rather than illustrating transformation, the exhibition invites visitors to experience it.
